Sept. 10, 2015
New name reflects company’s expertise in creating end-to-end, high-assurance ID management programs

Eid Passport, Inc., a provider of high-assurance identity management solutions, announced this week that it is rebranding as SureID, Inc. In a statement, the company said the name was chosen to reflect its expertise in providing high-assurance identity management and digital identity solutions designed to make organizations and individuals safer and more secure.

"In a time when people can anonymously engage in many areas of modern life, increasing one’s confidence as to whom is trustworthy has never been more vital, and our programs do just that," said Steve Larson, CEO and chairman of SureID. "The name change to SureID aptly represents our focus of utilizing our patented high-assurance identity management processes and technology to manage digital identities for a wide variety of applications."

Later this year, SureID said it plans to expand its products within the business and consumer markets to complement its RAPIDGate Program. The company’s flagship high-assurance identity management program provides a comprehensive, multi-layered process for third-party personnel who require authorized entry into highly secure gate-access-based facilities.  The RAPIDGate Program has been implemented at approximately 170 U.S. military facilities nationwide, has registered nearly a million individuals since it was deployed and currently serves more active companies and individuals than ever before.

"Changing the name of Eid Passport to SureID represents a deliberate, strategic decision to help translate our high-assurance identity management technology to new markets," explained Jim Robell, the company’s president and COO. "Our proven technology and process of managing digital identities has tremendous potential for both businesses and individual consumers."
