Safetrust has announced its support for Aliro Enterprise, highlighting the emerging standard with a demonstration of an enterprise physical credential alongside mobile-based Aliro credentials.

Aliro is an industry specification for access credentials and reader communication developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance with backing from more than 400 partner organizations, including Safetrust. The framework is designed to address interoperability challenges across a fragmented ecosystem of vendors, solution providers, and partners by establishing a common standard for enterprise credentials, digital locks, and access systems.

Safetrust recently showcased an Aliro enterprise physical badge operating in tandem with mobile wallets. The demonstration leveraged an organization’s own digital certificates to provision and manage credentials across multiple access vendors and partner ecosystems, illustrating how a unified approach can function across diverse environments.

The company emphasized that this approach allows organizations to move beyond proprietary systems that often create fragmentation and higher costs. By enabling a single credential to operate across mobile, wearable, and card formats, Aliro aims to simplify deployments while supporting scalability.

According to Safetrust, Aliro represents a shift toward an industry-led standard that combines certificate-based security and privacy with the reach of consumer ecosystems. The result is intended to deliver interoperability, reduce reliance on proprietary supply chains, and lower the overall cost of identity management in multi-vendor environments.

As adoption grows, Safetrust noted that open standards such as Aliro are beginning to reshape how organizations approach identity, access, and interoperability at scale, reducing integration complexity and enabling broader compatibility across systems.
