Camden Door Controls Launches New Battery-Powered Door Alarm Systems

Camden Door Controls has announced the launch of two new battery-powered door alarm systems designed for mechanically secured doors. The new CX-DA800 Series Exit Alarms and CX-DA810 Series Door Prop Alarms provide audible and visual alerts for unauthorized door use and doors left open beyond a specified time.

“Camden’s CX-DA800 Series Exit Alarms provide an instant audible and visual alarm indication of unauthorized exit or entry of mechanically secured doors,” said Dave Malen, president of Camden. “The Camden CX-DA810 Series Door Prop Alarms provide an audible and visual alarm indication of mechanically secured doors being held open for more than a specified time.”

The company said the all-in-one universal alarms are compatible with a wide range of industry-standard mortise cylinders and cams. Both models are available in grey or black finishes and are offered in indoor and weatherized outdoor versions. A mortise cylinder with two keys, either keyed alike or keyed different, is included with each unit.

Features of the new alarm systems include compact designs with no external wiring required, automatic silence after two minutes or manual silencing with a key and mounting options on either the door or frame with a magnetic door contact included. The alarms are designed for installation on both in-swinging and out-swinging doors.

Additional features include enhanced security functions with immediate triggering using LED and buzzer sounds, a 105 dB alarm, 9 VDC battery operation with low-battery alerts and an included mortise cylinder installation tool. The products are also UL Listed.
