Technology is tamper proof and can be identified at highway speeds

Hong Kong, June 19, 2013 – Convergence Systems Limited (CSL), a global provider of passive RFID tags, readers, antennas, and active RTLS equipment, introduces the new CS6720 Windshield RFID Label.
With over one billion vehicles on the road, there is a growing need for automatic vehicle identification for enhanced security, access control, parking enforcement, as well as preventing the illegal situations in vehicle registration, toll payments, vehicle theft, and border crossing. CSL’s Windshield RFID Label addresses those needs with an automatic vehicle identification label that is tamper proof and can be identified at highway speeds. Security integrators can utilize the Windshield RFID Label for parking access control, commercial vehicle monitoring, fleet access control, event parking pass, toll tag/e-tolling, traffic management, vehicle inspection, vehicle authentication, and many more.
“We have several projects that require vehicle access control solutions with very high performance and security,” said Paulo Jarbas, Corporate Communications Manager of ACURA Global. “We evaluated many RFID providers and found CSL’s Windshield RFID Label to offer the best relationship between cost and benefit."
“CSL’s new Windshield RFID Label is perfect for parking control solutions at the many university, government, and corporate campuses across America that our partners already support today,” reported Jeff Kruse, general manager at TransTech Systems, Inc.

CSL’s Windshield RFID Label is a self-adhesive paper label designed to be mounted on the inside of the windshields of cars, buses, and trucks with the following dimensions: 111 x 64 x .4 mm (4.4 x 2.5 x 0.02 inches). The Windshield RFID Label uses passive UHF RFID technology that does not require a battery and can survive up to ten years or 100,000 read/write cycles. It is fully compatible with industry standards for ISO18000-6/EPC C1G2. CSL provides custom, full-color graphics printing and polyimide (PI) material options as well as a full access control reader series including CS461 Fixed Reader, CS203 Integrated Reader, and CS101 Handheld Reader to provide options for a variety of applications.
