BELLMORE, New York – AlarmKey announced an agreement with CheckFree Corporation today that will enable users of AlarmKey software to more easily manage credit card and electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments for security system and alarm services.

“Offering credit card and EFT payment processing through CheckFree is an addition we are really excited about,” says Veeral Lakhani, VP of Operations, AlarmKey. “It gives our security integrators and dealers an easier way to manage recurring billing. That’s a hot button issue for any person currently seeking new management and accounting software,” Mr. Lakhani adds.

AlarmKey, celebrating 35 years in business, develops integrated business management and accounting software specifically for integrators and dealers in the security industry.

The integration of CheckFree credit card and EFT payment processing with AlarmKey will allow users of the security industry accounting software to process recurring monthly payments more quickly. Users will also benefit from the potential for more predictable cash flow, reduced overhead and increased customer retention.

“In response to customer needs, AlarmKey is extending the breadth of electronic payment processing to the security industry,” said Matt McKernan, senior vice president of CheckFree’s biller business unit. “By teaming with CheckFree to provide credit card and EFT processing, AlarmKey is providing their software users with the tools they need to manage their revenue lifecycle more efficiently and profitably. For CheckFree, this is a market in which electronic payment volumes can expand.”

According to AlarmKey, its research and development department has more than 100 line item modules scheduled for development in 2006, of which the CheckFree integration is just one. To learn more about AlarmKey, visit For more information on CheckFree, visit
