Convert any loudspeaker to an IP speaker - see it at ISC West 2020 Booth #19140

IP Former is Barix’s newest innovation for adding IP networking capabilities to new or existing loudspeaker designs. Replacing the 70/100V transformer traditionally used with analog loudspeakers, the PoE-powered device provides an IP network interface, audio stream decoder and amplifier front-end for a two- to eight-ohm speaker.

Flexibly supporting a wide range of security applications including paging and emergency warning systems, IP Former decodes PCM, AACplus, MP3, Opus, G.711 and G.722 audio streams delivered via HTTP, RTP or UDP.  IP Former is also compatible with InformaCast and Syn-Apps mass notification platforms and supports SIP negotiation for use with VoIP phone systems.
