Hanwha Vision SPS-A100M Audio Beacon
Hanwha Vision’s Audio Beacon transforms surveillance systems into AI-powered tools for situational awareness, incident response, and deterrence. The new device supports two-way audio and real-time AI-based sound classification, capturing sound clips and triggering alerts without compromising personal privacy in sensitive environments where video streaming is prohibited, including schools (locker rooms, restrooms), hospital rooms, and certain office spaces.
The Audio Beacon uses sophisticated AI algorithms to identify and categorize sounds such as breaking glass, screams, or extreme decibel events (sounds higher than 120 dB are attributed as anomalies) based on their acoustic characteristics. Equipped with five integrated microphones, the Audio Beacon pinpoints the direction of disturbances by analyzing the time difference of sound arrival, a critical element for locating incidents quickly and accurately.
A powerful 90dB speaker, echo cancellation, and noise reduction drive the beacon’s clear two-way communication capabilities. The device also features programmable LED indicators and a customizable rules engine for event-triggered notifications and visual cues. Built-in tamper alerts further enhance physical and cyber protection capabilities, alerting users to potentially suspicious activity if the device’s cover is removed, for example.
The Hanwha Vision Audio Beacon, model SPS-A100M, is compatible with major VMS platforms like Genetec and Milestone and can be easily installed and configured using the Hanwha Vision plugin and Wisenet Installation mobile app, giving users flexible deployment and management options to ensure accurate sound direction detection.
