A multicast paging solution designed to streamline communications across large and complex facilities is offering expanded flexibility through SIP-based controls and automated scheduling.
The Viking MPS-IP Multicast Paging Server is a SIP paging endpoint that supports up to 100 zones, allowing organizations to deliver announcements across multiple areas from a single SIP extension. Users can also assign dedicated extensions to individual zones, providing more precise control over where messages are delivered.
In addition to live paging, the system allows SIP extensions to trigger prerecorded audio files. This feature enables organizations to quickly deliver consistent messages without requiring manual intervention.
The device includes a built-in calendar scheduling function that automates the delivery of prerecorded messages. These messages can be sent to multicast zones and legacy analog paging systems, helping organizations maintain communications across both modern and existing infrastructure.
All system functions are managed through a secure web interface, providing centralized control over paging, scheduling and audio management.
The MPS-IP is positioned for use in schools, universities and manufacturing facilities, as well as other environments that require flexible multizone paging, event-triggered announcements or automated message scheduling.
