Valcom announced during ISC West the introduction of the V-Guardian Alert, a wearable panic button platform designed to initiate emergency communication and notification workflows across multiple systems.
According to the company, a single button press activates a range of responses, including speakers and horns for voice broadcasts, LCD and LED displays for messaging, flashers and strobes for visual alerts, desktop notifications and mobile app push alerts.
The platform is designed to deliver room-level accuracy for incident response and supports both audible and silent notification methods.
Valcom states the system integrates with its Site Manager-based platform, enabling alerts to be distributed across connected devices and systems. The workflow includes transmitting location data via beacons and LoRaWAN, feeding data to management software and consoles, initiating outbound calls to first responders and activating a mass notification system.
The company highlights several system features, including LoRa-based communication, GPS location with automatic switching from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), customizable wearable badges with haptic, audio and visual feedback and support for PoE and 24V powered beacons.
Valcom says indicates the platform is designed to provide situational awareness and support emergency response by connecting wearable activation to facility-wide communication systems.
