Connect ONE Expands Fire Alarm Integration With New Geoview Capabilities
Connected Technologies has expanded commercial fire alarm integration within its Connect ONE cloud platform, adding new GeoView Mapping features and enhanced event monitoring for Edwards, Notifier/Firelite and Mircom control panels.
The latest update strengthens unified event capture, monitoring and control across fire and security systems. According to the company, users can now manage emergency response, mass notification and real-time situational awareness from a single dashboard.
New capabilities include environmental monitoring through temperature, humidity and CO₂ sensors connected through the same network gateway as the fire alarm control panel. The update also supports real-time alerts via email, text message or app notifications, along with unified management of fire alarm and security events with mass notification features.
The introduction of GeoView Mapping gives users the ability to create virtual zones and points plotted on satellite or floor plan maps to view system status in real time. Fire alarm zone and point data automatically update through full data capture from the fire alarm printer output connected to a serial network gateway.
GeoView, a Google Maps feature from Connected Technologies, provides satellite imagery, facility layouts and camera views in a single interface. From this screen, users can assess alarms and access floor plans with point-and-click control of doors, outputs and cameras.
“Connect ONE continues to expand integrations that bring together life safety, security and environmental systems,” said Dan Simon, Technical Director for Connected Technologies. “These enhancements allow our partners and end users to gain deeper visibility, faster response and a more efficient way to manage their critical infrastructure.”
Connect ONE is the company’s unified cloud management platform designed to centralize system information for access, management and control.
