In-booth interactive touch screen application to direct customers to appropriate fire alarm and life safety management systems

Siemens Industry, Inc.’s Building Technologies Division will display an array of new and
enhanced fire and life safety technologies at the 2013 National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA) Conference & Expo from June 10 – 13, at McCormick Place
Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois. The overall theme of Booth # 610 is “From
simple to sophisticated buildings, Siemens’ technologies make them safe.” To highlight
its inclusive portfolio, Siemens has organized its booth by application complexity, type
and size. Additionally, customers will be able see suggested products and learn more
using an in-booth interactive touch screen application.
“NFPA’s 2013 Conference and Expo is an excellent opportunity for us to share how
Siemens can support a broad spectrum of customer and application requirements,”
says Brian O’Mahoney, senior director of Control Products & Systems - Fire Products at
Siemens. “With our portfolio continuing to expand in fire alarm and life safety
management systems, innovative detection, and with emergency communications and
mass notification functionality embedded in our panels, consulting engineers, fire
protection engineers and building operators will get a thorough understanding of our
ability to support a wide range of applications in buildings.”
The Cerberus PRO and Desigo Fire Safety product lines will be featured in the small- to
mid-size facility application sections of the booth. In this section, small facility customers
like restaurants and retail banks will be able to peruse information about the new
compact and cost-efficient 50-point fire alarm panels as well as products that support
varied needs with five different addressable detectors. In the “medium building complexity” area, customers, including K-12 institutions, outpatient centers, hotels and office buildings, will be able to learn about the robust 250/500-point panel fire alarm systems with releasing, remote view, and varied detection technology.
Finally, customers with highly complex application building types such as data centers, medical centers, university campuses, and high-rises, will be able to speak to experts about their facility needs in the “large building type” section. Sinorix suppression, life safety and building control management stations, TXR-320 conventional releasing panel, ASAtechnology detection with a No-False-Alarm-Guarantee, and the FireFinder XLS fire alarm panel with enhanced emergency communications messaging are just some of what visitors will find in this area of the booth.
The significant enhancement of Siemens’ premier fire alarm system—the FireFinder XLS fire alarm panel—will be a key booth highlight. According to O’Mahoney, the FireFinder XLS system’s enhancements have helped improve overall speed, survivability, and ease-of-use. O’Mahoney expounded on some of the system’s more prominent features during a recent interview with The Pulse Network.
O’Mahoney will be at Siemens’ booth during NFPA. He, along with his product management team, invite you to stop by Booth # 610 to learn more about how Siemens can help address your facility’s fire and life safety needs.
