    Genetec has introduced Security Center 5.4, with new authentication and video encryption mechanisms, support for H.265 compression, and a redesigned interactive mapping system.

    System Security Enhancements

    • To enhance system security and protect organizations from external threats, Security Center 5.4 will provide advanced capabilities to implement digital certificates and new video encryption methods to ensure that only authenticated users can access system information and archives.

    Reduced Bandwidth Consumption with H.265

    • Security Center 5.4 will be one of the first video management platforms to offer support for H.265, starting with integration for the Vivotek IP9171 H.265 camera.

    Redesigned Map-Based Command and Control

    • Security Center 5.4 will offer a completely redesigned version of its native mapping system, Plan Manger, for a highly intuitive visual experience.
