American Investor to Build a Private Port in Ukraine

The Ukraine's largest private port will be built in the Odessa region

The Ukraine's largest private port will be built in the Odessa region. According to the manager of a firm of the United States, the port Vera is to be situated in the harbor of the commercial seaport Yuzhny. The American investor has been allotted 46 and 106 hectares of land to equip a container terminal and develop other facilities, respectively. Construction of the first stage of the terminal will cost $280 million and take two years, and the capacity of the port is expected to increase to 432,000 tons.

The second stage of construction has been estimated at $120 million. The American businessman said the project was agreed with the Odessa regional administration. Unfortunately, the foreign investor has not yet received a relevant reply from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications.
