US Committee Praises Security Measures at Cairo Airport

TSA committee complimentary of security of passengers, cargo, plans, facilities at Cairo airport

Cairo -- The US Transport Security Administration Committee praised today the security measures taken by the Cairo airport authorities to secure passengers, cargo, planes, halls and walls.

Gen Majdi al-Waziri, the head of the security department at the [Egyptian] Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the US Committee, the tour of which lasted for five days also praised the good coordination between the various security sectors and departments of the Interior Ministry and the Cairo airport company. He also said that the committee's tour came within the framework of security coordination and an exchange of security committees between the two countries, as a similar Egyptian committee inspects security measures surrounding passengers and planes of EgyptAir at New York airport.
