Intrado Life & Safety and Mission Critical Partners (MCP) have announced a collaboration to help public safety agencies strengthen cybersecurity, protect mission-critical systems and improve their ability to respond to and recover from cyberattacks.

Through the collaboration, Intrado customers will gain access to MCP’s independent cybersecurity services and expertise. The services will address cybersecurity across people, processes, compliance and technology without requiring agencies to commit to a single-vendor ecosystem.

“Public safety agencies need cybersecurity strategies designed around the realities of emergency communications and the need for uninterrupted service,” said Brian Davenport, chief strategy officer at Intrado. “By collaborating with MCP, we are combining deep public safety technology expertise with specialized cybersecurity services. Together, we can help agencies protect sensitive information, strengthen operational readiness, and respond more effectively as cybersecurity threats evolve.”

The available services include managed detection and response, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, security awareness training, tabletop exercises and incident-response planning.

MCP will also assess agencies’ alignment with the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) security policy and standards developed by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). These include NENA’s Security for Next Generation 911 (NG-SEC) standard and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, along with other mission-critical risk-management frameworks.

“Cybersecurity resilience extends beyond technology. It requires a coordinated, organization-wide approach,” said Darrin Reilly, president and CEO of Mission Critical Partners. “This collaboration brings MCP’s industry-leading cybersecurity and public safety expertise to Intrado’s customers, helping them prevent and prepare for incidents and build sustainable, practical programs that support mission-critical operations.”

Through the collaboration, Intrado and MCP aim to help public safety organizations keep emergency communications systems secure and operational, protect sensitive caller data and operational records, strengthen regulatory and standards compliance and reduce disruptions while accelerating recovery following an incident. The companies also seek to reinforce public trust in the services communities depend on.
