Qualys Expands FedRAMP High Status to TotalCloud Platform
Qualys announced that its TotalCloud solution has achieved FedRAMP High Authorization, extending the FedRAMP High status of the Qualys Government Platform to include cloud-native application protection capabilities.
According to the company, the authorization was sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and enables federal agencies, contractors and regulated organizations to use Qualys TotalCloud through the FedRAMP Marketplace.
FedRAMP High Authorization is the highest compliance level within the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and aligns with NIST SP 800-53 High Impact controls for protecting sensitive unclassified government data.
Qualys said TotalCloud provides a unified cloud-native security platform that combines risk-based prioritization, compliance monitoring, runtime threat detection, attack surface discovery and cloud-native application protection into a single platform designed to help organizations manage cloud security operations and compliance requirements.
In a statement, Qualys President and CEO Sumedh Thakar said the authorization supports federal agencies pursuing cloud modernization initiatives while addressing increasingly sophisticated AI-driven cyber threats.
The company added that organizations aligned with NIST SP 800-53 can use the platform’s prevalidated controls and shared responsibility model to streamline Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, reduce audit complexity and improve visibility into cloud workloads.
