Police shoot and kill gunman in standoff at Texas hospital

According to a story published earlier this week by the Houston Chronicle, a man was shot and killed by police at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas after he reportedly took several staff members hostage in the emergency room.

No one else was injured during the incident and investigators are still working to determine the gunman’s motive.

The gunman was reportedly shot by a police officer when a hostage tried to grab the suspect’s gun.
