High-Security Locks—CyberLock cylinders and padlocks from Videx are high-security devices designed to perform in wet, corrosive environments. Ideal for utility, distribution and other critical infrastructure industries, the cylinder’s electronic key cannot be duplicated or copied and can be deactivated if lost or stolen. Visit 133.

Exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.2—Designed especially for K-12 schools and universities with high-traffic areas, the SARGENT (an ASSA ABLOY Co.) Line Grade 1 cylindrical lock features true interlocking construction between the cast/machined stainless steel lock body. The latch exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 1 cycle test standards by a factor of 10, for greater than 10 million test cycles. Visit 134.

You CAN Touch This—Crestron unveiled a new line of petite 2.8-inch touchscreens, available in models TPMC-3SM and TPMC-3SMD . The units provide the same control functionality as the larger TPMC-4SM line in a smaller, more discreet style. Installed on a single gang wall box, the TPMC-3SM enables users the convenience of nearly invisible, one-touch control of lights, climate, home theaters and multi-room audio. Visit 135.

New Software Support—Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) released Version 1.61 of both Remote Link and System Link software. The major enhancement is that these applications now support the new SQL add-on database module, allowing them to use a Microsoft SQL Server Database instead of the standard DBISAM database. Taking advantage of the new SQL capability requires the optional DMP SQL add-on module. Visit 136.

Time-Saving Cable Installation—Berk-Tek introduced TekLok, an interlocking box technology for the LANmark-6 and HyperPlus 5e copper twisted pair cables, simplifying cable installation from the telecommunications room to the device (surveillance camera, access control, etc). TekLok eliminates the need for special tools, deployment devices and additional manpower to hold the boxes during the pulling process, speeding up installation time and reducing overall project costs. Boxes are locked together using top and side tabs. Visit 137.

Cool Dome Network PTZ Cameras—The AXIS Q60-C Series PTZ Dome Network Cameras domes are outdoor-ready units with active cooling for surveillance in desert-like environments. Designed for installations where temperatures top out over 100°, cameras leverage the integrated Peltier cooling element to keep the cameras running in high-performance applications up to 165° F! Ready Out of the Box—The integrated four-channel DVR security system from Northern Tool & Equipment supports smartphone mobile surveillance and features a 19-inch LCD color monitor and programmable 500 GB hard drive DVR with MPEG4 recording.
