Nashville, TN – Nov. 11, 2022 – The Endeavor Business Media (EBM) Security Group, which includes SecurityInfoWatch.com, Security Business magazine and Security Technology Executive (STE) magazine, has announced the 2022 winning submissions for its annual Security Vanguard Awards, which honor the industry’s most innovative and collaborative security projects.
The Vanguard Project of the Year was submitted by integrator Sciens Building Solutions, and involved a massive, multi-year collaborative security project at the World Equestrian Center (WEC), located in Ocala, Fla.
“The top project reflects the strong collaboration between end-user client and skilled systems integrator – resulting in a tightly-packaged project that expanded on the fly as security requirements shifted at the stunning equestrian resort and show complex,” said EBM Security Group Editorial Director Steve Lasky.

Vanguard Award Honorable Mention Projects
Our two honorable-mention Vanguard Award projects run the gamut of potential security technology implementations. One features a collaborative effort amongst a global security solutions provider, a local systems integration firm and one of the largest county municipalities in the country; the other showcases a unique combination of screening technologies, video surveillance and human/canine patrols that tamed more than 300,000 fans at an international convention.
“Each project team confronted starkly different challenges from the outset but found a common denominator for each job in their firm commitment to integrated solutions that meet the needs of an end-user,” Lasky said.
The first Vanguard Award honorable mention is the Harris County project, submitted by Honeywell Building Technologies and featuring the work of Texas-based integration partner ESI Fire & Security Protection. Read the full article at www.securityinfowatch.com/21284441.
The second Vanguard Award honorable mention was submitted by security consultant Sentinel Consulting and centers on the security operations for the 2022 Anime Expo in Los Angeles. Read the full article at www.securityinfowatch.com/21284746.
