In recent years, video surveillance systems users have been attempting to overcome the lack of video forensic detail by saturating the target footprint with grids of cameras. Unfortunately, this yields ineffective video, transmission and storage, that often results in higher cost. In further looking into the "pixels-on-target," Frost & Sullivan analysts used a six sigma methodology which seeks to identify and remove the causes of defects and errors in manufacturing and business processes, and apply this to the overall improvement of video content collection and management.
