MILCOM 2009 Will Address 'The Challenge of Convergence' for Military, Intelligence and Homeland Security Communications

TAUNTON, Mass. , Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizers of MILCOM 2009 are looking for technology innovators who can offer solutions that address "the challenge of convergence" in next-generation government communication systems and networks.
General Dynamics C4 Systems and MITRE Corporation are the hosts of MILCOM 2009. Topics for next year's technical papers, sessions and tutorials will include:

After just finishing MILCOM 2008, which took place November 17 through today, the conference organizers have set Feb. 15, 2009 for the submission of topical abstract papers that address its 2009 theme, "The Challenge of Convergence." The annual conference will be held in Boston, Mass. , at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center from October 18 through 21, 2009 .
"The convergence of intelligence and information is a top priority for military, homeland and government operations which is why MILCOM 2009 will focus on identifying solutions to those challenges," said Chris Marzilli , president of General Dynamics C4 Systems and MILCOM 2009 executive chair. "We are calling on all military communication innovators to consider what must be done to improve distribution and security of mission-critical information."

The MILCOM 2009 conference comprises classified and unclassified presentations, discussion panels and tutorials by leading authorities and technical experts in the areas of military, intelligence and homeland security communications.
