Catapult Technology Picks Up Four New Contracts With The Department of Defense

BETHESDA, Md. , Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Catapult Technology, Ltd., a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal government, announced the expansion of its portfolio with four Department of Defense (DOD) contract awards that deliver diverse information technology services to the DOD. The four new contracts include the first U.S. Army task order awarded through the General Service Administration's (GSA) Veterans Technology Services (VETS) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) vehicle.

The DOD projects include:

DeWitt Army Community Hospital, Ft. Belvoir, VA. This contract represents the first U.S. Army contract awarded through the GSA VETS GWAC vehicle. Catapult will manage the help desk for hospital staff, which includes on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems; installation, configuration, and upgrading of computer hardware and software; providing end- user solutions for networking problems; and performing other activities. The contract value is $2.9 million; it has a six-month timeframe, plus four one- year options. Catapult is the prime contractor; SAIC is the subcontractor.

Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) Area Service Center, Atlanta, GA. Catapult will provide help desk support, including hardware and software installation and local area network (LAN) services for this DOD school system. This contract value is $2.3 million; it has a six- month timeframe, plus four one-year options. Catapult is the prime contractor; Lockheed Martin and Mikells Computer Services in Atlanta are the subcontractors.

Washington Headquarter Services, Administration and Program Support Directorate (APSD), Boards and Commission Division, Washington, D.C. Catapult will install, configure, modify, migrate and implement the Microsoft(R) SharePoint 2007 platform and provide services to satisfy the APSD's objective of delivering a collaborative working environment that supports the current and future boards and commissions committees and task force. This contract won under the GSA STARS contract vehicle and is valued at $2.6 million; it has a five-year timeframe. Catapult is the prime contractor.

U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Washington, D.C. Catapult will provide program and project management services for IT operations. The two-year contract was won under the VETS GWAC vehicle and has a value of $2.4 million. Catapult is the prime contractor overseeing the work of a number of other contractors; Log.Sec Corporation is the subcontractor.

The four projects with the DOD come on the heels of Catapult's current $70 million task order to the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Defense Continuity Integrated Network/Pentagon Continuity Information System (DCIN/PCIS) program, which was won in December 2007 under the VETS GWAC and is the company's largest DOD engagement to date. Catapult also works with the DOD United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM).
