Ohio-based security systems provider Diebold was recently recognized by industry research firm Frost & Sullivan with its “2009 Physical Security Systems Integration Company of the Year” award.

In a statement issued by Frost & Sullivan, the award is a testament to the impact Diebold’s physical security systems have had on improving customer service, reducing costs and enhancing security across a wide variety of vertical markets and applications.

"Despite current economic conditions, Diebold has increased its market share in two emerging vertical markets - government and commercial - and continues to be vested in the financial and retail channels," Frost & Sullivan Analyst Dilip Sarangan said in the statement. "The company has also shown a better-than-average increase in its managed security services portfolio revenue, furthering its focus on recurring monthly revenue (RMR); the portfolio includes security monitoring, logical security, maintenance and preventative service, and security outsourcing."
