Kim Fletcher and Ron Davison Join Abt Associates to Lead Global Emergency Management Practice

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. , Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Abt Associates announced that Kim Fletcher and Ron Davison , recognized experts in the area of emergency management planning and programs, have joined the company to lead its Global Emergency Management Services Practice.
Fletcher, Vice President of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Programs, joined Abt Associates from Beck Disaster Recovery, Inc. (BDR) where she was Executive Vice President. Prior to that she was Vice President of Emergency Management and Homeland Security at SRA International. In her 30-year career, she has led various emergency management programs and overseen the delivery of services to such organizations as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the United States Coast Guard. She served as a key consultant and advisor to FEMA during the 2004-05 hurricane seasons and was involved in developing the initial version of the National Response Framework. Fletcher also managed the development of the District of Columbia Response Plan and the establishment of the Regional Emergency Coordination Plan for the 17 member jurisdictions of the D.C. Metropolitan Council of Governments.
Ron Davison , Principal Associate for Emergency Management Program Development, has more than 20 years of professional experience in the emergency management arena, including homeland security, training and program management. In addition to supporting government planning, response and recovery efforts for federal, state and local programs, he has been directly involved in the response to such nationally significant events as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Davison has also participated in the development of numerous emergency response plans, including the Federal and National Response Plans; the development of training and exercise programs; and the design of outreach and communication programs for governmental organizations at all levels.
Prior to joining the firm, Davison was Vice President of Federal Programs at BDR and Director of the Emergency Management and Crisis Communications Group for SRA International.
