Running on a voice and data IP network provided by RPSS, Sentinel Patriot enables faster, more efficient call handling and dispatch for Walker County's 9-1-1 center. It also helps dispatchers to easily share information, ensuring collaboration and expediting response.

Sentinel Patriot boasts fault-tolerant redundancy, full Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) capabilities and numerous other features augmenting both critical and administrative communications.

"As we began to evaluate our old call processing system, we knew it was time to make the switch to an IP-capable technology," said Roger Wilson , executive director for Walker County 9-1-1. "Our industry is rapidly moving toward the adoption of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1), and we didn't want to invest in a system that couldn't be upgraded to meet future requirements. Sentinel Patriot was the answer for us."

Walker County's relationship with PlantCML began in 2005 after receiving a Federal Homeland Security grant to purchase a call processing system for its new mobile PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point). The unit stands ready to provide backup communications to call centers throughout the entire state of Alabama in times of crisis.

"The PlantCML team commends Walker County 9-1-1 on its commitment to public safety and their implementation of Sentinel Patriot," said Tim Fuller , PlantCML president and CEO. "We are honored to provide this first-class Alabama facility technology that is right for today, and ready for tomorrow."
