SANFORD, Fla. --
Construction will begin Monday, on a new train station in Seminole county. Amtrak will break ground on a new Auto Train station in Sanford.
Congressman John Mica and Amtrak officials will be at the site for a groundbreaking ceremony starting at 10am.
The train runs between Sanford and Lorton, Virginia. Officials say more than 230-thousand passengers rode the Auto Train last year. That's nearly 8 percent more than rode it in 2007.
