NeuralIQ Expands Global Leadership Team, Names Donnie Blanks CEO

Aug. 18, 2008

SANTA MONICA, Calif. , Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- NeuralIQ, a developer of cyber intelligence tools for information security, today announced the expansion of its global leadership team, headed by the appointment of Donnie Blanks as chief executive officer.

Blanks, former Executive Vice President of Sales and strategy for Perot Systems' government business unit, assumes the helm of NeuralIQ as the company continues to advance its industry presence and paradigm-shifting security technology in response to increasing global demand.

"It is very exciting to be part of a growing team that is driving the evolution of true cyber intelligence," Blanks said. "I am proud to join NeuralIQ and will focus my experience and leadership commitment on achieving a new level of growth and success in a highly dynamic and expanding world market. Events of the past week, where Russia launched a cyber attack on Georgia before firing the first shot or dropping the first bomb, are proof positive we're in the right business at the right time."

Blanks elaborated on the innovative approach that differentiates NeuralIQ in world markets today. "Traditional security is no longer able to hold its own against the overwhelming flood of new and highly targeted attacks," he said. "Security needs a new ally, one that learns from attackers in real time, exposing their tools, methods, and intentions before critical assets are compromised. NeuralIQ's real-time intrusion forensics systems deliver precisely that kind of intelligence and in the process make traditional security smarter and more agile."

According to Alen Capalik, CTO and founder of NeuralIQ, Donnie Blanks is a great fit for the leadership needs of the company at this stage of its development, as well as an important catalyst for its future growth.

"NeuralIQ has dedicated itself to delivering aggressive solutions that tip the balance of power away from attackers," said Alen Capalik, CTO and founder of NeuralIQ. "We are now poised to deliver these solutions to our federal and corporate clients, and we look forward to Donnie Blanks' leadership and expertise to help us get there."

Mr. Blanks has more than 25 years of experience in sales and program management of large-scale IT and facility management contracts with the federal government. Under his leadership Perot Systems' government sales grew to $56M in 2005, $350M+ in 2006 and $700M+ in 2007. He came to Perot Systems from ACS, where he served for four years as a Senior Vice President for Federal BPO accounts and Client Executive for the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security. Prior to his tenure at ACS, Donnie was an Executive Vice President with CACI International where he played a key role in several strategic merger and acquisitions. Before CACI, he was a Vice President at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he focused on program management (P&L) of large-scale IT and military test-range contracts with the federal government. At GTE Government Solutions, he served as Business Development Director for four GTE divisions serving the Department of Defense and Civilian agencies. He also served for 10 years as an Air Force officer. In 2007, he was selected by Federal Computer Week Magazine as a Fed100 award winner. He currently serves on the US Chamber of Commerce's National Foundation Board.

Donnie holds a bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business Executive Development Program, Babson College's Entrepreneurship Program and Southern Methodist University Edwin L. Cox School of Business Executive Leadership Program.
