Bosch Security Systems announced today a new president for North America and a new leader of the company's sales for the Americas region.
Christopher Gerace, who has been serving as acting president of Bosch Security Systems since July of this year, was officially named president of Bosch Security Systems' North American operations. Also appointed at Bosch was Jeremy Hockham, who will be leading the regional sales organization for the Americas. Hockham comes from Bosch Security Systems' UK operations, where he was managing director, and will relocate to the Bosch office in Fairport, New York.
Gerace's background in the security industry dates to Detection Systems, where in 1997 he became chief accounting officer. Detection Systems was later acquired by Bosch, and Gerace became chief financial officer for the Americas region. Among Gerace's accomplishments with Bosch's organization are the expansion of Detection Systems and the integration of both Detection Systems and Philips CSI into Bosch's security operations. He was also directly involved in the operations of Bosch's intrusion business unit.
Hockham came to Bosch from Honeywell's international security products business, especially focused on operations in the European and Asian markets, and has 17 years of "general management " experience.
Gerace called his and Hockham's combined experience in security "well suited to increase Bosch's competiveness" and said their backgrounds and management experience would be focused on the customers' requirements for security solutions.
