McCree Inc. and Built Right Inc. have started work on temporary quarters for the Burnham Institute for Medical Research in the Florida's Blood Centers building at 8669 Commodity Circle in Orlando Central Park.
The 10,138-square-foot suite will include laboratories, offices and a conference room to serve the research institute's needs until permanent quarters are built in the new medical city planned for Lake Nona.
The work in the Orlando Central Park building is scheduled to be finished by July. The contractors said a lot of coordination is required because Florida's Blood Centers' operations will continue during the work for Burnham.
Burnham's permanent facility is to be ready in 2009.
