Ingersoll Rand names new president for security

Steven Hochhauser succeeds Lamach, moves over from Johns Manville

Ingersoll Rand announced this week that Steven Hochhauser will serve as president of its security technologies sector.

Hochhauser comes to the position after serving as chairman, president and CEO of Johns Manville, a top producer of construction materials. He follows Michael Lamach who has since gone to become the president of Trane Commercial Systems, which was acquired by Ingersoll Rand.

Hochhauser has also had management experience at Allied Signal/Honeywell, Laminates Systems, Allied Signal Oak-Mitsui, United Technologies and Rockwell International.

"Steve's leadership experience and demonstrated success with complex global businesses provide the necessary attributes to help us build upon our leadership in global security markets," said Herb Henkel, chairman and CEO of Ingersoll Rand in a statement issued about Hochhauser's appointment. "In addition, Steve is well suited to continue the Security Technologies Sector's growth trajectory through a focus on innovation, new product development and ongoing expansion of the sector's global profile."
