Pelco to close Orangeburg, N.Y., facility

Company moving some operations to central-U.S. locations, keeping some NY operations regional

Pelco, a core manufacturer of product for video surveillance, will be closing its facility in Orangeburg, N.Y., within the next two to three months.

The facility has housed operations such as finished-goods warehousing and distribution; those efforts will move to Louisville, Ky. Other functions at the Orangeburg facility will also be moving to "more centralized U.S. locations" according to a statement from Pelco's management.

The support group in New York (system sales, customer training and product support) will stay in the New York area, and will likely move to a new facility once a suitable location is found.

As the company integrates with Schneider Electric, the company also announced that it will be closing the in-house travel agency PelcoTravel since Schneider already has a corporate travel system in place that will be adopted by Pelco.
