Calpine Corp. to Create New Energy Plant in California

Riverside County to get new plant by summer 2008

Reuters has reported that Calpine Corporation will be building an 800-megawatt natural gas power plant in California's Riverside County.

The plant already has its license and is tentatively named the Inland Empire Energy Center. Plant construction will be provided in part by GE's energy division, and should be completed by summer 2008.
