GE Security is redefining its focus with the addition of three new executives. The company announced on Thursday, June 15, that it had named a new president of GE Security in Asia, and new chief marketing officer (CMO), and a chief security officer for the division.
GE Security's President and CEO Louis Parker said the new positions were additions designed to closely match the company's growth.
Tammee Thompson was named as the president of GE Security-Asia. Thompson will be based in Shanghai, and will be primarily focused on the channel across Asia. She was formerly based with GE Equipment in its intermodal rail services division.
Barry Glickman was named the new CMO for the GE Security business. He comes over from the company's Jenbacher gas engine business where he served as general manager.
In addition, the company named Ron Nesbitt as GE Security's chief security officer (CSO), where he will manage global security and crisis management, in addition to phyiscal security needs. Prior to this appointment with GE, Nesbitt was the special agent in charge of the FBI's Washington field office, and he has extensive experience in counterterrorism and counterintelligence. At GE Security, he will also serve as an end-user consultant to GE Security's customers.
