SAN DIEGO – (Sept. 25, 2006) – Axis Communications has created a program to provide support for network architects, engineers and consultants who are driving the security industry’s shift from analog to network video technology. The Axis Architecture & Engineering (A&E) Program is a gateway to active support from Axis – the global leader in the network video market – and gives access to sophisticated and user-friendly tools, continuously updated online information and cutting-edge seminars.

The Axis A&E Program is free of charge and is open to independent consultants, architects and engineers who design and specify IP-based security systems. The program simplifies project design and educates members about recommending the best possible network video solutions. All members will receive the following information:

An Axis A&E Binder with hard copy and electronic versions of A&E specifications, CAD drawings, a complete set of convenient Visio-compatible symbols, datasheets and more. An Axis A&E CD with a variety of design tools for calculating bandwidth, storage requirements, and field of view. They will also receive simulation-based tools, full A&E specifications, collateral and much more.

Access to the online consultant section on the Axis Web site. The site contains the latest versions of all documents, as well as exclusive information about new releases and upcoming products. Invitations to local Axis A&E seminars.

“The shift from analog to network video systems – and the convergence with other IP-based systems – is changing the security market in a profound way, generating exceptional growth and market opportunity,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. “We developed the Axis A&E program to educate consultants about new technologies and to enable them to reduce the time they spend gathering technical information and calculating system requirements.”

To join the Axis A&E Program, please enroll online at www.axis.com/partner/consult. Once your details are verified, you will receive log-in credentials and a personal, numbered copy of the Axis A&E Binder. You may also join the program by contacting your local Axis office.
