CHARLESTON, S.C. – Maria Earl has joined the Alarm Insurance Agency (AIA) as the company’s new senior account manager.

In her new position, Earl will help alarm contractors determine their insurance needs and understand how the AIA can address those needs. She will also handle new policies, renewals and changes.

“Maria brings to the company a wealth of experience in dealing with contractors and growing lines of business,” said Richard Janis, president of AIA. “Her addition as senior account manager will add greatly to our already high levels of customer service and satisfaction.”

At AIA, Earl joins a growing insurance agency that focuses solely on serving the needs of alarm and monitoring companies. With its unique position in the industry, Alarm Insurance Agency is able to offer a full array of policies created specifically for alarm professionals.

“Because of its industry-leading presence, I’m excited to join the Alarm Insurance Agency,” Earl said. “I’m looking forward to helping our customers with all their insurance needs, as well as contributing to the company’s continued growth.”

Before joining AIA, Earl was a commercial account manager for Heffernen Insurance Brokers in San Francisco, where she serviced a book of approximately $750,000 in commission revenue for a variety of clients. While at Heffernen, she was named the company’s Rookie of the Year in 2000 and Employee of the Year in 2005.

Prior to her time at Heffernen, Earl served as a customer service representative for Kinko’s Copies in Charleston, S.C., where she was responsible for servicing accounts and increasing revenues through marketing campaigns.

A graduate of Trident College in Charleston, Earl earned her California Fire & Casualty License in 2000. She is currently pursuing Certified Insurance Counseling (CIC) certification.
