Mixing education and networking at a top regional security event

The New York City chapter of ASIS International kicked off their annual tradeshow on Tuesday at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. With hundreds of booths and attendees, the NYC Chapter's Security Systems and Solutions Expo (SSSE) is the premier regional end-user event for the northeast.

More than just a big chapter meeting, the SSSE features a number of educational programs on a variety of topics. Attendees got a chance to brush up on biometrics, computer forensics, public/private sector security partnerships, Islamic fundamentalism, and even the use of CPR and AEDs.

Roving SecurityInfoWatch.com photographer Peter Harlick (better known as the publisher of the magazine Security Dealer) hit the floor with his digital camera on Tuesday and sent us these snapshots from the SSSE (May 24-25, 2005).
