DENVER -- BSI2000, Inc., a leading developer of high-end access control security systems for commercial and governmental use, announced today that it has appointed John D. Woods to its board of directors.
Woods is a founding shareholder of Community Bankshares, Inc. of Colorado, which has assets in excess of $1 billion. He has served as chairman of the board since its incorporation in February 1989. He divides his business time between holding company matters and his duties as chairman and part owner of Market Reach, Ltd., London, England. He has spent 40 years in the banking industry, starting at the Northern Trust Company, Chicago, in 1956. He has served as president and COO of Winters National Bank in Dayton, Ohio, which had $42.5 billion in assets and is now part of Bank One. He also served as chairman and CEO of Omaha National Bank and its successor, FirstTier Financial, Inc., which is now part of U.S. Bank in Minneapolis. Woods received his B.A. from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo.
