CHICAGO -- TransUnion, a leading global information solutions provider, today announced that Michael Lines has joined the company in the role of chief security officer (CSO). Lines will report directly to Len Lombardo, TransUnion's chief information officer of enterprise technology.

"Michael's leadership experience and reputation in information security and in the financial arena will greatly assist TransUnion in solidifying and enhancing its global security efforts."
Lines comes to TransUnion from the Fair Isaac Corporation where he was the CSO, managing information security for more than 3000 employees in 32 countries. Prior to that he was chief information officer for Narex Corporation in Denver and has held numerous executive level positions with various technology and Internet companies.
A native of Florida, Lines attended the University of Florida and is active in numerous professional organizations including: International Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). He also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Lines is married and the father of three children.
