Kastle Systems, an international provider of security solutions for building owners and tenants, has named new regional vice presidents of sales. Corporate sales and marketing veteran Maureen Beirne was selected as vice president of sales and marketing for the New York region, and Jim Mustard has been named vice president, regional sales for the Philadelphia, Southern and Midwestern regions.
"Maureen Beirne's extensive experience in the New York City commercial real estate market will strengthen Kastle Systems' focus on expansion throughout the Northeast and make her a valuable addition to our sales and marketing team," said Steven Rindner, executive vice president of marketing and corporate development for Kastle Systems.
During her 20-year career serving the commercial real estate community, Beirne has established herself as a leading expert and sought-after industry speaker on a wide variety of technology issues, including telecommunications, data and hosting centers, wireless networking and business continuity. Beirne was instrumental in bringing broadband connectivity to bandwidth-hungry tenants in hundreds of major East Coast office properties over the last 10 years as part of the team that built the Winstar wireless broadband network. She also helped launch local service for MCI in New York and Boston, and is currently active in the ongoing redevelopment of Lower Manhattan.
In addition to her professional experience, Beirne is founder of the New York Businesswomen's Network, a board member of the Union Square Partnership, a member of BOMA and the Real Estate Technology Forum. She is also an active volunteer with New York Cares, a charitable organization which establishes team-based projects that have a dramatic impact on the lives of New Yorkers in need every day.
In his new role, Mustard will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential Kastle clients within his designated regions. In the 11 years Mr. Mustard has been with Kastle, he has served the company in positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in sales, customer service and operations in both Chicago and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Kastle, Mustard was the general manager of the leasing and management group of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, responsible for their Washington, D.C. portfolio of commercial office buildings.
Mustard holds a B.A. degree in Political Science and English from University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is active in various organizations, including the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA), American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
