The Steele Foundation, a San Francisco company known for providing a number of risk management solutions, has acquired SecureTravel.com, a traveler's information service for monitoring of world events.
"With SecureTravel.Com, you can be notified immediately of a security incident or concern around the world that may affect your employees or loved ones who are traveling in that area or take a preventative approach by tapping into a rich database of country and city specific health and security reports in advance," said Greg Pearson, chief operating officer at the Steele Foundation.
As part of the acquisition, the Steele Foundation offered a 30 percent price reduction for annual subscriptions to the site's information services.
SecureTravel.com offices are based in Pleasant Hill, Calif., on the eastern side of the San Francisco metro area.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not made public.
