Michael Dell invests in Eagle Eye Networks

July 31, 2014

Dell Computers founder Michael Dell through his private investment firm, MSD Capital, has made a multi-million dollar capital investment in Eagle Eye Networks, a provider of cloud-based video management services. Dell told SIW that this is the first company in the physical security industry in which he has personally led with an investment decision. Eagle Eye Networks was launched earlier this year by Dean Drako, the founder and long-time CEO of Barracuda Networks. Drako said the Dell investment is a testament to the traction that Eagle Eye has been able to gain thus far in the surveillance industry.
