4 Ways to Join the Conversation in Security Business this Summer

Become a part of our community by sharing your opinions and promoting your success in these exciting ways!

This article originally appeared in the July 2023 issue of Security Business magazine

This space is often reserved for my reverie, observational comedy, and occasionally some industry insight; however, this month, I need to use this valuable magazine real estate for some promotion – because we have some tremendously interesting and fun projects coming up that cannot be done without the help and participation of our faithful readership.

But most importantly, these programs and projects will be your conduit to the community of integrators and consultants who make up the Security Business audience, as well as your chance to promote yourself, your business and your contribution to the communities in which you serve. And none of them cost a single penny.

So, without further ado, here are the opportunities that await you!

The Security Vanguard Awards

Have you ever wanted to see your integration or consulting team on the cover of a printed magazine? I can tell you from experience, a cover like that would look pretty terrific on the wall of your office lobby.

The annual Security Vanguard Awards from Security Business and our sister publications is your best chance to pull it off. Just send us a quick recap of your most successful and innovative security project from the past 18 months. If our editorial team thinks the project is Vanguard-worthy, you will find your team on the cover of this very magazine – like Sciens Building Solutions did last year and Unlimited Technology did the year before that.

All you have to do to enter is visit the link below and share just a few details about the project with us. Submissions are NOW OPEN!

Our Annual State of the Industry Survey

There is nothing more vital to our magazine’s mission to serve our audience than our State of the Industry Report, which appears annually in the December issue.

I challenge you to try to find a similar report on the trends, technologies and economic performance indicators that are shaping the security integration industry that doesn’t cost a thing. That said, the report would be impossible without your help in filling out our annual State of the Industry survey, which is 100% confidential and helps us to create and curate those valuable data points in the report.

Nothing is more important to me than delivering on the promise of this report for our readers. Look for a personal invitation from me via email and on social media to complete the survey in August.

Readers’ Choice Product Awards

As I write this, security manufacturers are submitting top new products from the past year for YOUR consideration in the SecurityInfoWatch Readers’ Choice Product Awards. This is the only industry product award determined solely by the people in the industry who use, install, sell and market these products (yes, you!).

Voting is easy and only takes a minute or two. Check out the link below by the end of August to participate!

Security Gives Back

Every year, Security Business is the only magazine in the industry with a dedicated article highlighting the charity and community service work performed by the integration companies in our industry. Tell us your stories! All you need to do is email them to me (photos welcome).

Read last year’s article so you get an idea of what we need.
