ESX Packs Honors into Three Days

July 21, 2025

As usual, the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) – held during June in Cobb County, Ga. – delivered security and alarm industry education, networking, and award honorees.

Here’s a quick recap:

The Electronic Security Association (ESA) Annual Meeting provided a chance to welcome new ESA Board members Melissa Brinkman, Jeremy Bates, Brendan Armstrong, and Jake Voll. The meeting also included the presentation of the Stan Martin Excellence in Advocacy Award to David Fisch as well as lifetime awards to Pat Shea Remes, Dom D’Ascoli, and Jamie Orvis.

After a couple of keynotes and many educational sessions, the show floor opened with the traditional TechVision Challenge results, with DMP’s JamAlert winning “Best of Show” and Vicon’s NEXT camera system named as runner-up.

John Loud, President of LOUD Security Systems, accepted the 2024 Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award, recognizing his the lifetime achievement and service to the security and life safety industry.
