ESA, PAC—critical industry acronyms

The Electronic Security Association (ESA), Irving, Texas, has many pressing issues in its sights, those which may ultimately affect the landscape of the industry and potentially how you do business. From municipal monitoring to the continued loss of landlines to background checks and disaster planning and response strategies, ESA is casting a comprehensive net to make sure its members are up to date on the latest issues. Funding is necessary and everyone can help

For any or all of these efforts to happen on a consistent basis, ESA depends on contributions to its Political Action Committee. According to Committee Chair Mike Miller, who is vice president at Moon Security Services Inc. in Pasco, Wash., ESA needs contributions to its PAC. One of the interesting side notes with regards to the organization is that they can’t go to members to ask for PAC contributions—without members first filling out the solicitation form.

“We have a number of critical issues and we need help from everyone in the industry,” Miller stated. “And funding and obtaining contributions from our members is extremely important,” he said. “Any amount is greatly appreciated, and if everyone contributes, we can really make a difference in these initiatives.”
