Sielox and Excel announce managed services company

Sept. 21, 2011

Sielox, Runnemede, N.J., a provider of integrated access control, video surveillance, perimeter security and event management systems, and security solutions provider Excel Security, New York, N.Y., announced the formation of their managed services company—Sielox24Seven—today on the ASIS tradeshow floor. Designed to provide value-added services beyond traditional access control and video surveillance solutions, Sielox24Seven allows its partners to market its services to end users without having to provide upfront cost and management for the groundwork of providing a remote managed access control system for a site.

“There are many small- to mid-range companies that don’t have the time or staff or resources to manage an access control solution,” explained Karen Evans, president and chief executive officer for Sielox. “Sielox24Seven allows our business partners to sell these services to their customers. In addition, now the integrator gets the benefit of that monthly or quarterly RMR from the billing of these managed services,” she explained.

The company’s remote managed services are currently deployed across a range of 50 million+ square feet of space encompassing more than 3,000 tenant spaces and businesses averaging greater than 500,000 daily access control and video transactions.

“Managed access control services allow our business partners to leave no installation behind,” continued Evans. With the managed services solution, end users can focus on core business activities and eliminate maintenance calls, software upgrades, support and training.

“Security end users across all industries are directed to do more with less and managed access control provides a proven solution,” said Neal Garelik, president, Sielox24Seven.

Services that the system provides to end users include credential creation and management, time and attendance, visitor management, key control, background checks, real-time customizable alert notifications and concierge services. Detailed customer reports and billing based upon customer notifications are also provided.

With Sielox24Seven, “our partners will be able to not only provide the door hardware and controllers but also to generate RMR and provide additional services,” concluded Garelik.
