Last Chance!

Jan. 13, 2010

In case you weren’t aware, the deadline for the Security Industry Association’s New Product Showcase is January 22. And before you think this is another ho-hum awards program, you should know that the value you get from participating—and possibly winning—is well worth any entry fees.

Everyone in the industry knows of the SIA NPS and the value it brings to the market in technologies and services. But before I go any further, you should be aware that the SIA NPS has changed to meet the new times—with a focus on integration and convergence of course. There are more total solutions-based award categories and also, software, wireless, video analytics, convergence and more. The judges, who include end-users and integrators and consultants, have been fine-tuning the award categories since this summer, and you won’t be disappointed with what you see in the application form.

You can see it all online at www.sianps.com. You can’t really put a value on participating in the NPS because it’s all about what you make it. NPS entrants are featured in the ISC West Show issue in Security Dealer & Integrator and the winners are featured afterwards. Past winners can emblazon the award on their web site and use other marketing materials to announce their attainment of this accolade—one of the industry’s highest honors. Integrators often take the NPS as a testament to a product’s commitment to innovativeness. So take the time now to get the industry attention you deserve by participating in the industry’s one and only New Product Showcase. – Deborah L. O’Mara
