I wrote a bit about this in my weekly recap, The Security Week That Was 02/01/08 and the sum of it was that the TSA thinks this will help them improve security, but I think it will simply further numb them to concerns. I hope I'm wrong about that -- there definitely need to be reviews of consistency at TSA checkpoints and an overall review of customer satisfaction. Done right, I think, security doesn't have to be a pain in the #$$.
