Polaris Expands UL-Listed Tool Compatibility to Include Milwaukee Tool

Polaris has expanded the list of tools compatible with its UL-Listed compression connector system to include Milwaukee Tool products, giving electrical contractors another option for making code-compliant compression connections.

The announcement marks the latest expansion of Polaris' multi-brand tool compatibility program, which allows electricians to use a range of crimp tools with Polaris compression connectors rather than requiring a proprietary system. According to the company, the compatibility listing is intended to help contractors use existing tools while maintaining compliance with UL standards for aluminum and copper code wire applications.

Nolan Bello, director of product management for Polaris, said the addition of Milwaukee Tool provides electricians with greater flexibility while helping ensure inspection-ready connections. He noted that Polaris compression connectors are UL-listed across multiple industry-leading crimp tool brands.

The company’s compression connector system is tested across several major tool brands. By adding Milwaukee Tool compatibility, Polaris aims to help contractors avoid additional equipment investments while maintaining compliance with applicable standards.

The compression connectors are color-coded and marked to facilitate installation and are rated for applications up to 35kV. Polaris, an NSI Industries brand, has published a compatibility guide detailing UL-Listed tool options for its compression connector product line.
