The Electronic Security Association recognized the winners of its 2011 Leadership Awards at last week's ESA Leadership Summit in Irving, Texas. According to ESA, the Leadership Awards acknowledge those who have contributed to the industry in an "outstanding or exemplary way" throughout the year.
The ceremony was held in the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas and the awards were presented during the Diamond Awards Dinner by Kirk MacDowell, residential business leader from Interlogix and Deborah O'Mara, editor-in-chief of Security Dealer & Integrator magazine.
The award winners included:
- Chapter of the Year: Arizona Alarm Association
- Chapter Executive Director of the Year: Kevin Lehan, Illinois Alarm Association
- Chapter President of the Year: Chester Donati, Illinois Alarm Association
- Chapter Website of the Year: Wisconsin Electronic Security Association
- Chapter Newsletter of the Year: Contact Virginia, the Electronic Security Association of Virginia
- ESA/NTS Training Coordinator of the Year: Linda Ferguson, Utah Alarm Association
- NTS Instructor of the Year Award in Honor of Paul F. Baran: Shelton Mangum, Alabama Alarm Association
