IAHSS to host educational conference at ISC East

Event to focus on a variety of healthcare security related topics

The International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety announced this week that it will be hosting an educational conference later this month in conjunction with ISC East.

According to a statement, the "Mastering Solutions to Today’s Risks in Healthcare Security" conference will be a two-day program focusing on a variety of security topics in the healthcare sector including; threat awareness and management; security in long-term care; emergency communications and risk analysis; and, drug abuse in healthcare settings.

The event will take place on Oct. 30-31 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City and will be attended by speakers and security experts from both the U.S. and Canada.

Among those scheduled to speak include; Greg Conlan, director of operations, integrated protection at Fraser Health Authority; Frank Taormina of FJT Security & Safety Solutions; Jack Poole, principal at Poole Fire Protection; Andrew Corsaro and Steve Carlson of C-Cure RX, LLC; and, Cynthia Hetherington, president of Hetherington Group.
